15 wonderful students

Today we concluded the Youth Challenge Instructors Course in Sibiu, Romania. The Lord gave us a special time of rich fellowship together. It was a real joy and privilege to teach with Sebi (back row 4th from left) and Alina (near the centre with the hair band). Thank you for praying for us!

Conference in Sibiu

Again today the Lord helped as I brought two messages at the CEF conference in Sibiu, Romania. In the afternoon Sebi showed me around the old part of the city.

Sunday morning breakfast and preaching

Last Sunday a group of us stayed overnight at Magdas house. Then on the Sunday morning we took part in the service. Iullan did a presentation on CEF, the workers sang a song and I preached with Magda translated me.

CEF Conference in Bucharest, Romania

Despite overnight snow and very icy conditions 150-200 people attended our CEF conference which was held in a church in the centre of Bucharest.
The theme of this years conference centered on Youth Challenge. The Lord really helped me and all who took part. I preached the opening message and then later gave the main seminar. The thing that really struck me was that the average age of the visitors would have been in the 30's. Now we see the young adults with a heart for children's work. They are the the fruit of a ministry to children in the 1990's which God greatly blessed.
I am now on my way to Sibiu where the Youth Challenge Instructors Course will start tomorrow evening. Before we make the rest of our journey, I will preach in the morning in the home church of one of our workers.

Romania Trip 15-27 February 2008

Thank you for your prayers for the next 2 weeks.
On Saturday I will be preaching and taking a seminar at the CEF National Conference in the capital city of Bucharest.
On Sunday we will be traveling to Sibiu where the CEF national office is located. Here we are expecting 14 students to attend our Junior Youth Challenge Instructors Course. Please pray for Sebi, Laura and myself as will teach.

As usual :) I plan to post regular updates throughout the trip!

Prayer Day

The nearest German CEF worker is almost 2 hours drive from our home. His name is Stefan and he is the local worker in the city of Karlsruhe. Today I joined with him and 5 other CEF workers and trainees for a day of prayer. (Some of them traveled almost as long!) I really appreciated the invitation and I was thankful for the fellowship and the refreshing time of prayer.

CEF Leadership Forum in Hungary

I am in Hungary at the conference on Lake Balaton. There are 45 leaders from 26 countries in Europe. A few days ago a storm broke up the ice and put in on the promenade. You can see from the pictures how impressive it looked.

Bibelschule Brake

On Monday and Tuesday I spoke at Brake Bible College. It was a great opportunity to speak to over 100 students. I had many conversations with people who want to become involved in different ways.
